POLICE have carried out a day of action to tackle "nuisance" vehicles in Bradford.

Officers from Operation Steerside and Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team patrolled the Royds and Wibsey areas on Friday.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "The operation was in response to reports of nuisance vehicle use and nuisance off-road motorbikes and quads.

"During the evening, officers issued 24 traffic offence reports, three stop searches, and six intelligence submissions.

"One driver has been reported for summons for using a mobile phone while driving.

"We will be planning further operations over the coming weeks and months," the spokesperson added.

Concerns can be reported to the team by calling 101 or using the live chat facility on the West Yorkshire Police website.
