A recent University of Bradford graduate who works as a 'bug bounty hunter' says he is excited about his future as he looks to stay in the UK and secure a job in information security.
Nikhil Rane, 24, completed a one-year MSc in Cyber Security at the university.
Since completing his course, Mr Rane has worked freelance, identifying security vulnerabilities for various businesses in a practice known as 'bug bounty hunting.'
He started a three-month contract with a Netherlands-based company in June, and hopes this becomes a permanent role.
Mr Rane said: "The University of Bradford was a great opportunity for me.
"I enjoyed the city, I liked visiting City Park.
"I’m still living in Bradford at the moment.
"I would like to explore careers in Yorkshire and I am looking to stay in the UK."
The India Book of Records awarded Mr Rane a certificate and medal for his proficiency in bug bounty hunting in 2023.
