A RENOWNED Bradford business topped off a thrilling night by capturing the top prize.

Seabrooks Crisps, which had already been named Manufacturer of the Year earlier in the night, took to the stage once again for the final award of the evening at Cedar Court Hotel.

The UK’s number two crisps brand was awarded the ultimate gong of Business of the Year, following in the footsteps of SME Business of the Year award winner MyLahore last year.

It was announced before the Telegraph & Argus Bradford Means Business Awards 2024 ceremony that each individual winner would be nominated for this huge accolade.

This would be the company or individual that has made the best overall contribution to business in Bradford across the past 12 months.

The judges made their decision after reviewing the victor from the other 11 categories and debated which of them had stood out as the cream of the crop.

Seabrooks Crisps was the name shouted out by category sponsor Blacks Solicitors.

Chris Rees, operations director, and David Tickner, finance director, said: “It is great recognition.

“Bradford has been really important to this company.

“There are a lot of our employees who have been with the business for a long time.

“People have been here for 30, 40 years.

“There is a big affection for the brand and the business. Long may that continue!”

It meant the company managed to come out on top following wins for Schofield Sweeney (Employer of the Year), Tommy Taylor (Apprentice of the Year) Regal Food Plc (Family Business of the Year), Sowing Seeds Tuition (New Business of the Year), Coral Windows (Innovation Award), Adams Food Services (Social Mobility Award), Commerce Business Systems (SME Business of the Year), Airedale Springs (Sustainability Award) and Sovereign Healthcare (Business in the Community Award), and Bagnalls (Excellence in Education & Training Award).
