A PUB with an ethos of "going the extra mile" is vying to become the best in Bradford.
Q Gardens, on Pearson Street in Odsal, is one of 10 nominated for the Telegraph & Argus' Best Pub 2024 competition.
Readers were invited to share their favourite watering holes and an amazing 6,389 nominations came in.
These were whittled down to the final 10 and we are in the process of publishing profiles on each of them.
"We are absolutely ecstatic to be nominated and recognised for the service we provide," said Sean Lowe, who is co-manager at Q Gardens.
He added: "We are all about supporting the community and being there for our loyal customer base."
"It is all about going the extra mile, being there for our customers.
"Whether it's hosting wedding receptions, funerals, or just being there when they need a chat.
"We are more than a pub, it is a multi-use venue."
The pub recently hosted 'Q Fest' - an "unforgettable day of fun, music, and delicious food".
The family day, which took place on Saturday, July 20, featured a steel band, Caribbean food from Campbell’s Kitchen, and a bouncy castle.
It came following the success of Euro 2024 where the business' footfall soared during the matches, especially when England were playing.
Mr Lowe said: "Q Festival was amazing. It was like a miniature carnival.
"It is the second year we have done it and the weather was much better this time around.
"It was great to put the day on for the locals as well as welcoming several new faces."
He added: "We were super busy throughout the Euros tournament.
"In the end we had to turn people away because we had reached our 400 capacity.
"There was such a brilliant atmosphere, especially in the final."
The venue has several snooker and pool tables, as well as a darts board for customers to enjoy.
Bradford Bulls fans also make the most of the 10 per cent discount that is on offer to season ticket holders.
On the prospect of gaining the T&A Best Pub 2024 crown, Mr Lowe said: "It would be amazing to win.
"We have always been big supporters of the T&A."
Don't miss out on your chance to vote for your favourite pub.
All you need to do is fill out the voting form, which can be found in the Telegraph & Argus until August 3.
