IT'S that time again folks!
Whether it's athletics, swimming, or the new sport of breakdancing, strap yourself in for an adrenalin-fuelled fortnight.
Olympic fever is set to grip the nation from today - here are some West Yorkshire names to look out for.
Emile Cairess (Bradford)
The main attraction for Bradfordians this summer will be long-distance runner Emile Cairess.
The Saltaire lad aims to follow in the footsteps of his fellow Bradford Grammar alumni in the Brownlee brothers by doing his nation proud on the Olympic stage.
Both Alistair and Jonny secured gold medals across the last three games, and that is what Cairess is gunning to do this time.
April's London Marathon, where he became the second-fastest British man to ever run the race after placing third, has put him in good stead.
An excellent run inBe sure to tune in to the Men's Marathon on the morning of Saturday, August 10.
Lois Toulson (Cleckheaton)
Lois Toulson attended Whitcliffe Mount School in Cleckheaton before going on to achieve success in diving.
Paris will be her third Olympic games after previously appearing in Rio and Tokyo.
The three-time European champion will take to the platform with 19-year-old Andrea Spendolini Sirieix in the synchronised 10m next Wednesday before competing individually on Tuesday, August 6.
Lizzie Deignan (Otley)
Mother-of-two Lizzie Deignan, from Otley, is to compete at her fourth Olympics - becoming the first female British cyclist to do so.
Deignan, who scooped a silver medal at the London games, will be part of the full 30-strong Great Britain cycling team.
The 35-year-old, who placed second in London 2012 and competed in Rio and Tokyo, has been named in a four-strong women's road squad alongside national champion Pfeiffer Georgi, time-trial winner Anna Henderson, and Anna Morris.
Deignan is set to be in action in the afternoon of Saturday, August 4.
Tom Pidcock MBE (Otley)
Another Otley racer involved in this edition's Games is Tom Pidcock.
The 24-year-old will be looking to retain the men’s mountain bike gold medal he earned in the Tokyo Olympics.
Pidcock, aged 21 at the time, won the race by 20 seconds to capture Britain's first-ever medal in the event.
Since that achievement, he has become world champion in both Cyclo-cross (2022) and mountain biking (2023).
The Leeds-born athlete gets his campaign underway this coming Monday and then races again five days later.
Other athletes from the region at the games include Halifax duo Max Burgin (Athletics) and Luke Whitehouse (Artistic Gymnastics), Leeds pair Katy Marchant (Track Cycling) and Harry Hepworth (Artistic Gymnastics), Wakefield's Oliver Wood (Track Cycling), and Pontefract's Max Litchfield (Swimming).
