A BRADFORD district police officer has been charged with an on-duty assault.
PC Denis Kadric, 32, is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court next week.
He is suspended from duty, said West Yorkshire Police.
A spokesperson for the force said: "A West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with an on-duty assault.
"PC Denis Kadric, aged 32, who is based in Bradford District, has been charged with common assault and is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates Court on July 29."
The spokesperson said the charge relates to an alleged incident on January 26 involving a member of the public who was under arrest.
"PC Kadric is currently suspended from duty," the spokesperson added.
