POLICE have issued a warning to motorists after a driver was caught travelling at twice the speed limit in a Bradford district village.
Officers were deployed to carry out speed checks on Keighley Road in Steeton and during the operation a driver was clocked at 62mph in a 30mph, prompting the police to issue a warning.
A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Police said: "Following information gathered from a recent speed watch carried out in Steeton, officers were deployed to carry out checks on Keighley Road, Steeton.
"During the checks, one vehicle was recorded travelling at 62mph in the 30mph limit.
"The driver was reported and will be attending court.
The police also reminded motorists, saying: "Travelling at more than twice the posted speed limit renders the driver eligible for an instant driving disqualification at court."
