STUDENTS from a Bradford school have paid a visit to the House of Lords.
Eden Boys' Leadership Academy pupils joined 11 other schools from across the UK for the visit in London earlier this month.
Students were given a tour of the Houses of Parliament before taking part in an interactive workshop on the role the House of Lords has in the passing of laws, holding the Government to account and making recommendations on a range of topics through its committee work.
The event concluded with a question and answer session with former chair of the London Assembly, Baroness Hamwee.
The House of Lords is the second chamber of UK Parliament.
It plays a crucial role in examining bills, questioning Government action and investigating public policy.
