ALL traffic was being held on a motorway after a crash.
The collision happened on the westbound carriageway of the M62, before junction 27 (Gildersome).
Vehicles were stationary for some time and this caused congestion to build in the area.
The average speed was down to 50 miles per hour at junction 28 (Tingley) at one point, according to National Highways.
Traffic was released at 6.20pm.
