A WOMAN has been bailed after being arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire involving a car which had two children inside.
The car fire incident took place just before 11pm on Thursday on Tong Way, Farnley, Leeds.
Police launched an investigation after reporting the car, which had two children in it, was "deliberately" set alight.
A woman and her neighbour brought the two children to safety.
A 19-year-woman was arrested on suspicion of arson.
"At 10.52pm on Thursday (July 18), a woman reported her car had been deliberately set alight while two her children were still in the vehicle in Tong Way, Leeds.
"She and a neighbour brought the children to safety, and they were checked over by ambulance staff with no concerns found.
"A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson in relation to the incident and remains in custody. Enquiries are ongoing."
The has now been bailed, as police spokesperson confirmed: "The woman has been bailed pending further enquiries."
