A YOUNG Bradford boy with long blonde hair is set to have his first ever haircut in a ‘big chop’ that will raise money for charity.
Albie Pedley, 4, of Bradford, and his family are raising money to make a wig out of his hair for the Little Princess Trust.
Albie will have his first ever haircut at the Symposium Bar & Kitchen, on Albion Road, Idle, in an event that starts at 12 noon tomorrow (Sunday).
Albie’s mum, Stacey Pedley, said: “Albie was born just before lockdown, and his hair happened to grow very quickly but nowhere was open to get it cut.
“We really liked it and it suited him, but recently he’s been asking if he can get it cut before he starts school in September.
“So, we’re donating his hair to the Little Princess Trust and we’re aiming to raise £700 to make it into a wig.”
The charity provides free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer.
Stacey said Rachel Armitage, of Funky and Fresh Hair in Idle, will be donating her time to make the haircut.
