A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson after it was reported that a car had been "deliberately" set on fire with two children in it.
The car fire incident took place just before 11pm on Thursday on Tong Way, Farnley, Leeds.
Police have launched an investigation after reporting the car, which had two children in it, was "deliberately" set alight.
A woman and her neighbour brought the two children to safety.
A 19-year-woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson.
"At 10.52pm on Thursday (July 18), a woman reported her car had been deliberately set alight while two her children were still in the vehicle in Tong Way, Leeds.
"She and a neighbour brought the children to safety, and they were checked over by ambulance staff with no concerns found.
"A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson in relation to the incident and remains in custody. Enquiries are ongoing."
