TODAY is the day we can reveal which pubs have made it onto the shortlist for a Telegraph & Argus competition.

Earlier this month, the T&A launched a competition which will crown the Bradford area's 'Best Pub 2024'. 

Thousands of nominations were received and we've now whittled them down to a shortlist of 10.

We'll be aiming to profile every one of the finalists in the next 10 editions of the T&A to give you a flavour of the delights on offer at these establishments.

From today and throughout the upcoming editions of the newspaper, readers will be able to vote for their ‘Best Pub 2024’ by picking up copies of the T&A and simply filling out the form below the article.

The shortlist includes a nice geographical spread of pubs, with the likes of Idle, Low Moor, Thackley, Odsal, Wibsey, Eccleshill and Oakenshaw all represented.

So, without any further ado, here's the shortlist......

- The New Inn (58 High Street, Idle, Bradford, BD10 8NN)

- The Queen Hotel (863 Thornton Road, Bradford, BD8 0HH)

- The Woodlands Hotel (14 Mill Carr Hill Road, Oakenshaw, Bradford

- Victoria Hotel (1 Victoria Road, Eccleshill, Bradford, BD10 8AE) 

Nigel Burton, Editor of the Telegraph & Argus, said he was delighted by the response from readers to the competition.

Mr Burton said: "The way readers have responded to our hunt for Bradford's best pub underlines the passion for pubs within our district.

"In many communities, the local pub has been part of a way of life for decades and we're delighted to be shining a light on some of the very best establishments in our district.

"Many great pubs were put forward as potential candidates by our readers but, needless to say, they can't all be on the shortlist. 

"Now we're down to the final 10, I'd urge readers to play their part in helping to determine the destination of our Best Pub 2024 award."

 

T&A received 6,389 best pub nominations. The voting forms run in print from today until August 3.
