ONE person was rushed to hospital following a serious crash on a major road this afternoon.
A serious crash has taken place on the A65 between Long Preston and Settle and with the road is blocked, motorists have been advised to seek alternative routes.
A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 12.44pm on Friday afternoon to report a collision on the A65 between Long Preston and Settle.
"Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Royal Lancaster Infirmary."
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, North Yorkshire Police said: "Traffic Alert - Craven
"We’re dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A65 between Long Preston and Settle.
The road is currently blocked and motorists should find an alternative route.
"NYP Ref: NYP-19072024-0207."
