A MAN has been banned from entering a Bradford district town for five years.

Jonathan Black has been slapped with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) by West Yorkshire Police.

It states that he must not:

  • Ask another person including but not limited to female members of the public be it alone or in company with other females for money or goods (including cigarettes or alcohol) in the city of Bradford Metropolitan District Council area, as shown on map A, except as part of: a contract of employment or legitimate benefit claim, or a retail purchase or a banking transaction.
  • Sit, Sleep or loiter in an area accessible to members of the public with any item or article which would give another person the impression that you are either homeless or begging (such as a cup, hat, quilt, sleeping bag, sign) in the city of Bradford Metropolitan District Council area, as shown on Map A.
  • Enter the area of Shipley Town Centre bordered by Otley Road, Bradford Road and Kirkgate. As shown on Map B, save for when attending planned appointments with evidence of appointment card or documentation.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "If Jonathan Black breaks the terms of the CBO, he risks arrest and may be fined or sent to prison.

"If you witness him breaking any of the terms, please contact West Yorkshire Police on 101."
