POLICE stopped a car on a major Bradford road after they saw a ladder hanging out of the boot.
The white Volkswagen Golf was spotted by Operation Steerside officers on Mayo Avenue in the south of the city on Wednesday.

Police say they dealt with the driver for having an insecure load.

A post on the Operation Steerside X page read: "We couldn't ignore this on Mayo Avenue @WYP_BradfordS earlier today.
"Driver of the @UKVolkswagen Golf dealt with for having an insecure load."
The Operation Steerside Team has been dedicated to tackling dangerous and anti-social driving in Bradford since the initiative was launched in 2016.
