CREWS across Bradford scrambled to a fire at a derelict church last night.
The blaze happened at the former St Luke's Church, on Dane Hill Drive, in Holme Wood, just after 10pm on Wednesday night.
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said 40 per cent of the building was involved in the inferno.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a large jet, and an aerial appliance.
There was no exposure risk.
Crews from Bradford, Cleckheaton, Odsal, and Killingbeck fire stations attended.

A spokesperson for the service said: "Derelict church building involved approximately 20m x 50m. 1 floor, brick construction, no exposure risk, 40% of building involved in fire.
"Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 1 large jet, and an aerial appliance to extinguish the fire."
