NINE men have been arrested after cannabis worth over £2 million was seized when officers uncovered a large scale drugs complex.

Enquiries remain ongoing by the Batley and Spen NPT after officers executed a warrant and made multiple arrests at a disused former bed factory on Quarry Road, Gomersal, on Friday, July 12.

Officers located around 4,000 cannabis plants worth about £2.4 million inside the building, as well as vehicles of interest including a Lamborghini car.

Nine males were arrested in the operation and taken into police custody for questioning.

Eight of the men were later charged with production of Class B drugs and were remanded into custody to appear before Leeds Magistrates Court on Monday (July 15).

The men will now appear before Leeds Crown Court on August 12. The other male arrested was later released on police bail pending ongoing enquiries.
