AN impressive piece of art now welcomes passengers at a rail station, thanks to five gifted GCSE art students from Oastlers School in Bradford.
The work, which features scenery from across the north of England, is displayed at Steeton and Silsden station.
Northern financed the project, delivered in partnership with Community Rail Lancashire.
To gain inspiration for the piece, the children travelled by train around the region and for some of them it was their first time using the railway.
The students decided to depict the rail line running from coast to coast, featuring landmarks including Skipton, the Lake District, Ribblehead Viaduct, Bradford and Morecambe.
Kerry Peters, regional director at Northern, said: "This impressive artwork is an excellent addition to the station and customers will be able to enjoy it for years to come."
The artwork was unveiled in a ceremony in June, at the Northern-operated station which serves more than 756,000 customers per year.
