THE Better Lives charity is inviting individuals and organisations to compete in its annual golf tournament.

The event, which takes place at Bradford Golf Club on Thursday, July 25, supports the Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Those from the Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven areas are invited to participate.

The tournament kicks off with a 'shotgun' start at 2pm, in which all teams tee off simultaneously from different holes.

A £250 fee grants a team of four access to the course, a meal and a chance at a £10,000 hole-in-one prize.

Howard Martin, director at Respond Marketing and captain of last year's winning team, said: "It’s a fabulous event with a friendly but competitive spirit across all the teams involved.

"We’re all keen golfers but the tournament has the added bonus of raising vital funds for our local NHS trust."

Catherine Jowitt, head of charity and volunteering at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: "This is our third golf tournament and it gets better every year.

"It should be a fantastic event in an amazing setting.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the event."
