CREATIVE young people could be one of 10 trainees on Bradford 2025’s upcoming work and study programme.

The 16-month work-based opportunity, Young Creatives, will help those aged 18 to 24 build their skills and experience within arts and culture organisations.

Paid at the living wage foundation rate, those who successfully make it onto the programme will take on a day of study and four days on a work placement each week.

Bradford’s UK City of Culture year will feature more than 1,000 new performances and events across music, visual arts, theatre, film, museums, street art, libraries, photography, craft and far beyond.

The Young Creatives programme will give young people the chance to be a part of the historic year.

Bradford 2025 said the job opportunity will start in September 2024 and end in January 2026.

Applications are open until Wednesday, August 14.

The Young Creatives Programme was made possible by The Harry & Mary Foundation and The Charles & Elsie Sykes Trust.

Anyone who wishes to apply should visit the Bradford 2025 website for more information.

Information sessions, where people can find out more about the job role, are taking place online between 5pm and 6pm on July 17 and 24; at the Bradford 2025 office between 5pm and 6pm on July 30; and at Bradford College, between 5pm and 6pm on August 6 and 7.
