A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault after two people were injured outside a pub in Bradford.

Police said they received a report of an "ongoing fight" outside The Royal Hotel in Clayton Lane at around 10pm yesterday.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman and a man with facial injuries. 

The woman was taken to hospital where she was found to have suffered a broken jaw, while the man declined medical treatment, according to the force.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault.

He remains in custody as police investigations continue.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "At around 10pm yesterday, police received a report of an ongoing fight outside The Royal Hotel in Clayton Lane, Bradford. 

"Officers attended and found a woman and man with facial injuries.  

"The woman was taken to hospital where she was found to have suffered a broken jaw.

"The man declined medical treatment.  

"A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody at this time.
