TWO men were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent following an attack outside a takeaway on Saturday.
The attack, where a 31-year-old man was injured, happened at 10.45pm on Saturday on Bethel Street in Brighouse.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Two arrests have been made following an incident outside a takeaway in Brighouse on Saturday.
"Police were called at 10:45pm to reports of a male injured on Bethel Street.
"The ambulance service also attended and took the male victim to hospital to assess his injuries.
"Two males, aged 23 and 31, were arrested for Section 18 wounding with intent and the 31-year-old was also arrested for drunk and disorderly in a public place.
"The male victim, 31, suffered facial injuries and was later discharged from hospital.
"Enquires are ongoing.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact the police quoting crime reference number 13240379152 via 101 or alternatively call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
