YORKSHIRE Air Ambulance (YAA) has received a £22,000 donation from Sovereign Health Care, marking another year of support from the not-for-profit health cash plan provider.

The donation follows a £19,000 contribution last year.

This year's donation is part of Bradford-based Sovereign Health Care's Community Programme, which is dedicated to the support of health initiatives that have a tangible influence on the Bradford community and West Yorkshire as a whole.

The funds will go towards essential operational costs, enabling YAA to continue its emergency response services across Yorkshire.

Sovereign Health Care has been a Principal Partner of YAA since 2001, with the Sovereign Health Care logo appearing on YAA's helicopters.

Sovereign chief executive, Neil McCallum, said: "Our Community Programme aims to support initiatives that make a real difference to the community, and YAA's work perfectly embodies this mission.

"It’s a privilege to support their critical services and see our contributions make a direct impact on community health."

Marianne Haworth, grants & trusts manager at YAA, said: "The ongoing partnership with Sovereign Health Care is invaluable. Their increased donation this year highlights their dedication to our cause and the communities we serve.”
