A BMW crashed into a telegraph pole following a police chase.
Police say a pursuit was authorised when the vehicle failed to stop for officers as it drove through Brighouse at around 11.40pm on Wednesday.
A short time after it had reportedly driven off at speed towards Wyke, the car, a black BMW X5, crashed into a telegraph pole on Halifax Road, close to the junction with Moorside Way, in Cleckheaton.
"A road closure was put in place to allow for this to be attended to," said a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.
Two males were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, the spokesperson told the Telegraph & Argus.
They have since been released under investigation, the force added.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
