BRADFORD Council has announced that it intends to sell off an area of open space,

The plan is to dispose of land at Fenwick Drive and Lingdale Road in Woodside, Bradford, by way of a freehold sale, having an area of approximately 1.13 hectares which is open space.

Objections or representations to the proposed disposal should be made in writing, stating grounds for objection, to Legal Services, City Hall, Bradford BD1 1HY quoting reference PCD/DM/400958 or by email to denise.mawbey@bradford.gov.uk no later than 12 noon on July 26.

* An Order has been made to close “an irregular shaped area of highway” to the north of Bartle Lane in Bradford.

The Order would authorise the stopping up of the area to enable development as permitted by Bradford Council, under references 15/06524/MAF & 22/00914/VOC.

Copies of the order and plan are available for inspection at Bradford Council’s Highways Development Control, fourth Floor, Britannia House, Hall Ings, Bradford. Anyone wishing to object to the proposed order can do so by stating their reasons in writing to the Secretary of State at nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk or National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR, quoting NATTRAN/Y&H/S247/5733. Objections should be received by midnight on August 2.

* Bradford Council has announced the following temporary road closures:

* Jarratt Street East, Bradford, for gas works. The order affects the length of Jarratt Street East from a point outside No.26 to outside No.32. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Jarratt Street East (unaffected section), Macturk Grove, Jarratt Street, Whetley Lane and vice versa. The order lasts from 9am on July 16 until 6pm on July 19.

* Stott Hill, Bradford, for water works. The order affects the length of Stott Hill from its junction with Cathedral Close to its junction with Barkerend Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Barkerend Road, Shipley Airedale Road, Canal Road, Balme Street, Bolton Road, Stott Hill (unaffected section) and vice versa. The order will last from 7pm to 11.59pm on July 16.

* New Southgate, Bradford, for construction works. The order affects the length of New Southgate from the rear of the old TJ Hughes building. Pedestrian access will be maintained. There will be no alternative routes for traffic. The order is from 8am to 6pm on July 13.
