A GROUP of bat-wielding yobs smashed the window of a property with a brick and assaulted a woman.
West Yorkshire Police was called at 8.34pm on Monday night to a disturbance at an address in Hough Lane, Bramley.
It involved a group of men armed with bats, according to a spokesperson for the force.
They added: "A window at the address was smashed with a brick and a woman was assaulted causing minor injuries."
The suspects are known to the victims, said police.
Officers searched the area for the armed men but were unable to find them.
Residents reported seeing lots of police activity in the neighbourhood last night.

Officers were seen patrolling the streets around Bramley Park and some police attention was focused on the park itself.
One police van stopped at the top of Hough Lane, just up from Stanningley Road near the old cemetery.
Another drove past Bramley Village Health and Wellbeing Centre shortly afterwards.
One onlooker said: "It's like they're doing laps, perhaps searching for somebody.
"There's something significant going on."
Police are continuing to investigate the attack.
