Residents are reporting seeing lots of police activity in their neighbourhood tonight.

Officers have been seen patrolling the streets around Bramley Park and some police attention has been focused on the park itself.

One police van stopped at the top of Hough Lane, just up from Stanningley Road near the old cemetery.

Another drove past Bramley Village Health and Wellbeing Centre shortly afterwards.

"It's like they're doing laps, perhaps searching for somebody," said an onlooker.

"There's something significant going on," they added.
