AN occupant needed medical attention for smoke inhalation after a fire involving a chip pan at their home.
Firefighters from Bradford and Stanningley stations were called to the blaze on Woodhall Avenue, Thornbury, shortly before 2am today.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "This was a domestic property fire - a chip pan was involved.
"Four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a high powered fan were used to extinguish the fire and get rid of the smoke.
"One occupant removed themselves from the property and required medical attention due to the effects of taking on smoke.
"Smoke detectors were fitted and working at the property at the time of the incident."
