THE runway at Leeds Bradford Airport is now open again after it was closed for "emergency" repairs.
Shortly after 3pm yesterday, the Yeadon airport said a "minor" repair needed to be carried out to the runway surface "immediately".
This did not occur due to an incident, the airport added.
At 7.30pm yesterday, a spokesperson for Leeds Bradford Airport said: "The runway has reopened, and the airport is resuming operations, though some disruptions and delays are expected.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused.
"As normal operations resume, we do not anticipate providing further updates on this matter."
The spokesperson added that "everything is expected to operate normally" today.
"Please proceed to the airport as you would normally," they said.
