A new food unit due to open in the coming week will transform from a breakfast outlet in the morning to a noodle bar in the afternoon, it has been revealed.

Work has been ongoing to prepare the so-called 'hybrid unit' at Hartshead Moor services, on the eastbound carriageway of the M62 between Brighouse and Chain Bar.

The unit will start the day as 'The Good Breakfast' - serving meals such as the Ultimate English Breakfast, a full English and various baps, as well as fresh coffee.

From lunchtime onwards, it will transition into 'Chopstix' - an outlet serving Pan-Asian food and promising 'fresh ingredients, bold flavours, and the art of wok cooking.'

Welcome Break, which runs the services, has been keen to make improvements after research placed Hartshead Moor among the worst service areas in the country.

The new hybrid unit, located next to the Subway outlet, is due to open this Thursday.

A spokesperson for the services told the T&A: "Welcome Break has confirmed that Hartshead Moor is opening a new hybrid unit that is The Good Breakfast in the morning and Chosptix in the afternoon. This will be opening from next Thursday."

Other recent improvements at Hartshead Moor have included the refurbishment of the toilets last year and the upgrade of the WH Smiths shops.
