LEEDS Bradford Airport has announced its runway is currently closed for "emergency" repairs.

The Yeadon airport made the announcement shortly after 3pm today.
It said it expects to open no earlier than 7pm today.
Check-in is currently closed until no earlier than 5pm today.
According to the airport, a "minor" repair needs to be carried out to the runway surface "immediately".
This has not occurred due to an incident, the airport added.
Passengers are being urged to contact their airline for further travel advice.
A spokesperson for Leeds Bradford Airport said: "The runway is currently closed due to urgent repairs to the runway surface.
"We expect to open no earlier than 7pm today.
"Check-in is currently closed until no earlier than 5pm today.
"This has not occurred due to an incident - it is a minor repair to the runway surface but needs to be carried out immediately.
"We apologise for any disruption and ask that passengers contact their airline for further travel advice.
