THE bomb squad was called to conduct an explosion in the Bradford district this morning.
West Yorkshire Police attended an address on Kings Cliffe in Wilsden on Tuesday.
Officers located a "potentially suspicious object" and requested assistance from the bomb squad for it to be further assessed.
A cordon was put in place around the property.
The object was removed from the property and safely disposed of in a controlled explosion on nearby fields.
One T&A reader said: "They have just carried out a controlled explosion."
They added: "All the neighbours came running out of their houses."

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police attended at a house on Kings Cliffe, Wilsden this morning to conduct enquiries as part of an investigation.
"While at the address, officers located a potentially suspicious object and requested assistance from the EOD for it to be further assessed.
"A cordon was put in place around the property as a precaution.
"The object was further assessed by the EOD and removed by them to be safely disposed of in a controlled explosion on nearby fields.
"There was not thought to be any wider threat to the public in the incident."
