A 40-YEAR-OLD learner driver from Bradford was caught speeding on a motorway.
Robert Grievson, 40, of Alma Street, in Laisterdyke, pleaded guilty to four driving offences at Sheffield Magistrates' Court last Wednesday.
He was disqualified from driving for six months on that same day.
Court records said this was "obligatory due to repeat offending".
Grievson drove a blue Volkswagen Golf Hatchback northbound on the M1, between junctions 32 and 33, near Sheffield, while he had a provisional driving licence and without "L" plates being displayed, despite it being illegal to drive on the motorway as a learner.
He was using the car without insurance.
The 40-year-old was also clocked by an automatic camera device going at 58mph in a temporary 50mph zone.
The court ordered Grievson to pay £258, alongside his driving ban.
This included a £120 fine, a surcharge of £48 to fund victim services, and £90 in costs.
