AS WIMBLEDON gets into gear we thought readers would love this picture of members of Otley Mills Tennis Club. Taken in 1964, it shows club members getting together to have their picture taken.
You can see the fashions of the day, with women's tennis skirts and dresses being longer, to the knee. It's good to see so many all-white outfits, which would probably have been a rule of the club, as it often was in those days, even in small villages.
And, of course, wooden racquets are being used. I imagine the two boys pictured are the sons of one of the members. Maybe they were acting as ball boys.
The picture was taken by Lawrence Pickles of Otley. Maybe you are on it and can tell us more. If so, get in touch: helen.mead@telegraphandargus.co.uk
Were you a member of this tennis club back in 1964?
