A BRADFORD councillor has praised police for making a quick arrest after a shocking stabbing in Holme Wood.
A cordon was is in place at the junction of Horsham Road and Broadstone Way, Holme Wood following an attack in the early hours of this morning.
Police were called to the scene just after 4am and found two men with leg injuries.
They were taken to hospital but have since been discharged.
A 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Cllr Matt Edwards (Green, Tong) said: "I know many residents in Holme Wood will be very concerned about this incident.
"The police are taking this very seriously and it's good an arrest has already been made.
"I'd urge anyone with information to contact the police or they can pass it anonymously to Crimestoppers."
In a full police statement, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said earlier today: "At 4.16am today police were contacted by the ambulance service to reports a male had been stabbed in the leg on Broadstone Way.
"Officers attended to find two men with leg injuries, both have since been discharged from hospital.
"A man aged 31-years-old has been arrested in connection with the incident.
"A cordon is in place to establish exactly what happened.
"Enquiries are ongoing by Bradford CID."
