A TEENAGER faces two charges following a search which saw a large number of police officers scrambled to a Bradford street.
A large police presence, which included five police vehicles and nearly a dozen officers, were in Norman Lane, Eccleshill, at around 4am on Tuesday.
Two 15-year-old teenage boys were initially arrested on suspicion of going equipped.
One of those teenagers has now been officially charged.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A 15-year-old male has been charged with going equipped and criminal damage.
"He’s been bailed to appear at Bradford Youth Court on July 15.
"The second teenager has been bailed pending further enquiries."
Video footage sent to the T&A showed five police vehicles and nearly a dozen officers carrying out what appeared to be a search in the area.
In a statement yesterday, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "A 15-year-old-male has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped.
"It's after officers on foot patrol on Norman Lane sighted a male at around 4am wearing a balaclava who then made off from police.
"After a short foot chase the male was detained.
"A short while earlier another 15-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of going equipped."
