A HOMEOWNER in Bradford only realised their car keys had been stolen when the vehicle disappeared two days later.
West Yorkshire Police has launched an appeal via its Community Alert page in relation to a suspected burglary and theft at a home in Little Lane, Ilkley.
The victim realised the car keys for his Nissan Navara were missing on Tuesday but believed he had misplaced them, so did not report the matter to police.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "On Thursday, June 20, 2024, the victim has realised that his car has been stolen with the keys."
It is believed an unknown suspect or suspects entered the man's property through an unlocked door on the Tuesday and took his car keys.
The suspect or suspects then returned "days later to take the car".
If you can help police with their investigation, or saw anything suspicious, you should contact them on 101, or using the contact options on the West Yorkshire Police website.
You should quote crime reference number: 13240331045.
