GOLF sessions for people with special education needs are being held this summer at a Bradford club.

Spokesperson Graham Buttrick said: "At Bingley St Ives Golf Club over the last three years we have run through the summer on a two weeks basis golf sessions for people with special education needs, mostly adults but we are open to anyone.

"Our aims are to introduce people to golf in a safe managed environment and to get everyone to fulfil their potential.

"It is run on a voluntary basis with golf club members assisting all players.

"Bingley St Ives Golf Club made a five-hole pitch and putt course on the practice ground which we get free of charge for two hours every second Monday.

"We also do putting and target golf and after meet up in the club house for sandwiches and drinks and prize giving.

"Alongside the golf, we aim to help with social skills and behaviour.

There is a charge of £2.50p per session and this goes towards weekly prizes and an end of season party with awards food disco karaoke.

The next session is on the July 1 4.30pm until 6.30pm
