STAFF at a hair salon have been left "heartbroken" after a van smashed into the front of the business

The one-vehicle crash, which involved Ford Transit van - happened on Harrogate Road in Greengates at around 11.30pm on Wednesday. 

Photographs on social media show the van lodged into the front of Room 907 hairdressers.

Images shared by the business show it has been left severely damaged. 

3 Amigos Tattoo Studio and nail bar Glow were also affected. All three businesses are closed to customers today.

"As you can imagine we are currently closed," said the post.

"The workmen are working to secure the building now and hopefully we will know more soon.

"We will keep you all informed as soon as we know more.

"We are so sorry to all the clients we will have to let down. And we will be calling everyone booked in today and tomorrow.

"Thank you to everyone who has already sent your love.

"We are heartbroken."

3 Amigos said damage has been caused to the studio's entrance. 

"We are all absolutely devastated," said the post. 

"This means we have no access to our studio so we are unable to work until the repairs have been completed.

"At this stage we have no idea when this will be, so all appointments will have to be rescheduled once I know more.

"I'm so sorry, this is beyond my control, but I will keep everyone informed as and when I know what's happening, so please bear with us.

"I will message everyone who is booked in, so please be patient."

Glow said: "We regret to inform you that our salon will be closed today. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will provide updates on our reopening as soon as possible.

"Thank you for your understanding."

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "We were called at 11.38pm by our colleagues in the ambulance service to attend a collision between a van and a building.

"We sent one crew from Bradford.

"We stood in attendance until relevant parties made the scene safe."

West Yorkshire Police initially said officers were called to a two-vehicle crash at 11.31pm on Harrogate Road, but the force has since told the Telegraph & Argus that the crash involved one vehicle - the Transit van.

A man was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

While officers were attending this incident, the driver of another vehicle was arrested on suspicion of being over the prescribed limit for alcohol.

"At 23.31 yesterday police attended a road traffic collision involving one vehicle which collided into a building. 
 
"The man driving the Ford Transit was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening. 
 
"Whilst officers were attending this incident separately arrested a woman of another vehicle on suspicion of being over the prescribed limit (alcohol)
