A ROAD is closed and a bus service is being forced to divert due to emergency works.

First West Yorkshire announced on X at 7.07am today that Valley Road, in Pudsey is shut today between 9am and 4pm.

This is so emergency works can be carried out.

The bus company's number 14 service - which serves between Pudsey Bus Station and Leeds - is having to take a different route due to the road closure.

It will divert via Low Town and Swinnow Road in both directions instead.

This cuts off a large part of the bus service's route, including eight stops and Littlemoor Road, Robin Lane, Kent Road.
