A BIKER suffered injuries described as ‘possibly life-changing’ in a Bradford crash.

A police cordon was in place on Cutler Heights Lane after the crash, which happened at around 4.30pm on Tuesday. 

A police spokesperson said officers were called by the ambulance service to a report of a "serious road traffic collision involving a motorbike".

The motorbike rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Today, a police spokesperson said: “The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening but possibly life-changing.”

Cutler Heights Lane was shut to traffic yesterday and a cordon was in place while police carried out enquiries to “establish the circumstances regarding the collision".

Investigation work is also taking place at the scene today.

The West Yorkshire Police also issued a new appeal today, which says: "Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after an electric motorbike rider was seriously injured in a collision in Bradford yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).

"At 4:24pm, police were called by the ambulance service to a report of a serious collision on Cutler Heights Lane, Bradford, involving a Surron electric motorbike and a black Range Rover.  

"The bike rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"Officers are currently conducting enquiries at the scene and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes while the road closure is in place.

"Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle immediately prior to the collision.

"They are also asking anyone who was in the area who has a dash cam fitted to check whether they have captured any relevant footage.
