POLICE have launched an appeal after a pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run on a Bradford street.

A 28-year-old man suffered serious injuries following a collision with a car, believed to be a grey Toyota Corolla, on Brassey Road, East Bowling, just before 9pm on Monday.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses after a fail-to-stop collision involving a pedestrian on Brassey Road, Bradford.

"Officers were called at 8.43pm on Monday to reports a vehicle had been in collision with a pedestrian.

"The pedestrian, a 28-year-old male, was taken to hospital with serious but not believed to be life-threatening injuries.

"CCTV enquiries are underway and enquiries to locate the vehicle and driver.

"It is believed the vehicle was a grey-coloured Toyota Corolla.
