WEATHER experts are warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms in Bradford and surrounding areas.
The Met Office has issued a thunderstorm alert for the whole of West Yorkshire today.
The yellow weather warning is valid between 11am and 9pm.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Showers will develop later on Tuesday morning, becoming heavy with some thunderstorms through the afternoon and early evening.
"A few places will see 20 to 30mm of rain in one hour."

There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus

There will possibly be some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes

Some short term loss of power and other services is possible

Some flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible, leading to some damage to buildings or structures

Delays to train services are possible
