A FREE cinema day has been described as a "resounding success" by organisers.
The Wyke Cinema Day was held earlier this month at the Wyke Community Sports Village.
Films including Toy Story, The Greatest Showman, and Mamma Mia were shown on a big screen.
Organisers Big TV said the sports village "buzzed with excitement".
Jodie Cottrell, from the company, said: "This free family event brought the community together for a day filled with entertainment, local flavors, and a spirit of togetherness."
She said the day included food and drink stalls, charity stalls - including Andy's Man Club, and bouncy castles.
Jodie said: "Despite the inclement weather, the event was a resounding success."
She said many vendors have said they would like to return for next year's event and plans are already underway for a "bigger and better celebration".
Organisers are hoping to set a date for the next Wyke Cinema Day soon.
