A SKIP fire that carried "exposure risks" and saw smoke spread to nearby properties in Bradford saw a huge response from the emergency services.
Nearly 10 fire service vehicles were called to the outdoor fire on Guy Street, on the outskirts of the city centre, at 5.33pm on Sunday.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We attended a skip fire with exposure risks and smoke spread to neighbouring properties."
Firefighters used two large jets, one hose reel, four breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation fans to battle the fire.
Firefighters from Bradford, Odsal, Shipley, Fairweather Green, and Bingley fire stations attended as did special teams including an aerial appliance, aerial support, one command unit, and one command support unit.
