BRADFORD Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary has received a vital funding boost.
The rescue centre was awarded a donation of £1,800 from Support The Animal Rescues Shop (STARS), based inside the old mill on Victoria Road, Eccleshill.
One of STARS' missions is to regularly give net profits it makes to animal rescue centres.
Katie Lloyd, of Bradford Cat Watch Rescue and Sanctuary, said: "We are so grateful to receive this fantastic donation.
"It will enable us to help more cats and kittens in the Bradford area.
"There are so many rescues struggling with the increase in animals needing help in this area and it is fantastic that Julia Sharp and her volunteers from STARS are raising money and donating to different rescues."
She added: "The shop is based over three floors and is an amazing Aladdin's cave of quality items at low prices, all of which have been donated.
"STARS prides itself on reusing, recycling and reducing items going to landfill, and helping people obtain quality items at low prices, with the net profits being passed on to rescues helping our local animals."
