A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl was rushed to hospital and a man arrested after she was hit by an e-bike.
West Yorkshire Police was called to a field off Slipper Lane, in Mirfield, at 6.07pm on Wednesday.
It was to a report of a collision involving a child and an e-bike.
Emergency services went to the scene and a five-year-old girl was taken to hospital with a serious, but non-life threatening, head injury.
She was later discharged pending further treatment.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said a 23-year-old man, the rider of the e-bike, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and being over the prescribed limit.
He remained in custody today and Kirklees District Police are continuing to investigate the collision.
