A VOLKSWAGEN Golf was seized by police in Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police's Operation Steerside Team stopped the white car on Peel Park Drive in the east of the city yesterday (Wednesday, June 12).
The driver claimed to be covered by third party insurance.
Police said enquiries suggested otherwise.
Officers seized the vehicle and the driver was reported for the offence.
The Operation Steerside Team has been dedicated to tackling dangerous and anti-social driving in Bradford since the initiative was launched in 2016.
It evolved in 2018 into a multi-agency partnership (consisting of representatives from Bradford Council, police, education and the fire service) and has continued ever since to proactively take on illegal use of the road.
