A FORMER Bradford school pupil is in the big time with Liverpool in the Barclays Women’s Super League, and she has just won the club’s Goal of the Season for her sensational effort against Manchester City.

City are one of the best women’s teams in the country, and only missed out on the league title to Chelsea last season on goal difference.

But Liverpool are a growing force in the top flight, and came fourth in 2023-24, their highest finish for seven years.

Enderby, formerly of Immanuel College, played in 14 of Liverpool’s Super League games last season, as well as three of their Women’s FA Cup matches.

The 19-year-old failed to score in any of those, but she found the net against City in the League Cup in spectacular fashion, as seen from 2:53 in this YouTube video:

Running on to a hooked pass down the inside left channel, Enderby loses her balance slightly and any chance looks to have gone.

But with an incredibly inventive piece of skill, she flicks the ball over her marker, former England captain Steph Houghton no less, and sets off towards goal.

Houghton, the wife of Bradford City icon Stephen Darby, tries desperately to get back but is unable to do so, though her presence means Enderby is forced wide on to her left foot.

However, she holds her nerve, and slots a gorgeous strike low into the far corner beyond the goalkeeper.

The disbelieving commentator claims the goal “is a big sign of what is to come in the future” from the teenager.

And already playing for Liverpool's first team, as well as England’s Under-19s, the world does appear to be at the former Immanuel pupil’s feet.
